Peter Mainwaring practises in the areas of Wills and Estates, including acting for either the plaintiff or the estate in relation to disputed and contested will matters, preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney.
Peter graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Economics in 1978 and subsequently obtained a Bachelor of Law from Monash University in 1981. Peter was admitted to practise in the Supreme Court of Victoria in 1984.
Peter obtained a Graduate Diploma in Dispute Resolution and Judicial Administration from the University of Melbourne in 1996.
Peter has extensive experience in the areas of:
- Preparation of Wills and Testamentary Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Guardianship
- Estate matters including probate and Letters of Administration, and litigation in respect of contested Wills
- Property law including conveyancing, leases, mortgages, reverse and Homesafe mortgages
- Commercial matters including the sale and purchase of businesses, retail and commercial leasing
- Dispute resolution including mediation
Peter joined Perry Weston Lawyers in 2018 as a Consultant and is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria.
Away from the office, Peter enjoys travelling, bushwalking and spending time with his family and young grandchildren.
