Arwen graduated from La Trobe University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Behavioural Science and is admitted to practice in the State and Federal Courts.
Arwen specialises in the areas of Wills and Estates, including acting for either the plaintiff or the estate in relation to disputed and contested will matters, preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney, Family Law, and Intervention Order proceedings.
Arwen has expertise in the area of estate litigation, having acted for both the plaintiff in contested will matters as well as for the estate in defending applications for further provision in the County Court and Supreme Court of Victoria. Arwen has a high success rate in resolving matters at mediation prior to trial.
Arwen has extensive experience in both simple and complicated matters involving applications for divorce, parenting matters and property division arising out of breakdown of marriage and de facto relationships including negotiation, mediation, litigation before the Federal Magistrates Court and the Family Court and preparing and giving advice in relation to financial agreements. She has appeared frequently before the Magistrates Court, Federal Magistrates Court and Family Court, as well as resolving matters by negotiation and agreement outside of Court. She also has experience in the appellate jurisdiction of the Family Court of Australia.
Arwen is a member of the Family Law Sections of both the Law Institute of Victoria and the Law Council of Australia.
